2014 Archineri Pietradolce

Etna Rossa, Italy

A wine truly as beautiful, interesting and seductive as its label portrays. Comprised entirely of the native Sicilian grape Nerello Mascalese, and harvested from vineyards on Europe's tallest most active volcano (Mount Etna), the terrior of this unique area and the proud history of Italy shine though in this wine on every level.

In the glass, a bright crimson red that fades upwards into a stunning coper brim. In the mouth, ripe red berries transform into a savory array of sundried tomatoes and rosemary. Packed with lots of acid, this wine is tailor made for any pizzas or red pastas you've been thinking of making for that special someone... or you don't have a date yet just come find me!
