Synchromesh Riesling 2015

Okanagan Falls, British Columbia

A relative newcomer to the Okanagan Valley, Synchromesh was born in 2010 and focuses on clean, terroir driven wines. Although they also have some exciting reds, their Riesling wines are their forte, and are absolutely delicious.

The entry level Synchromesh Riesling is a blend from four different single vineyard sites located on the Naramata Bench and in Okanagan Falls. Made in an off-dry style, similar to a German Kabinett, it has racy acidity that is balanced with a touch of sweetness. Right off the bat there is a slight petrol and dry-erase marker aroma that is quickly followed by loads of stone fruit (peach, apricot, lychee, and plum), apple and citrus. As the wine opens up, there is a nice mineral character by means of crushed rock and sheet metal, and the citrus components really shine with refreshing key lime.

Summer is all about being outside and enjoying the beautiful weather, and a nicely chilled bottle of Synchromesh Riesling pairs perfectly with a sunny patio!
